Press Release: "Understanding Intercession" Teaches Christians the Importance of Intercess

Reuben Gedzah’s book, “Understanding Intercession,” encourages Christians to make a difference in the world through prayer. Providing a clear and thorough explanation of what "intercession" means, he guides the readers to living a life centered in God so they might one day do an intercession and stand before the Lord on other people's behalf.
ACCRA, Ghana. (PRWEB) July 07, 2017. Holy Fire Publishing (www.holyfirepublishing.com) releases the book "Understanding Intercession" (ISBN# 978-1-60383-528-2) by Reuben Gedzah. The book teaches Christians how to become a prayer warrior and obtain results through intercessory prayer.
According to Mr. Gedzah, in every generation, God always looks for a man or a woman who is willing to stand "in the gap of intercession" to help ensure the salvation of humanity. Because the Lord Almighty wants everyone to be saved, to know the truth, and to receive the benefits of salvation such as forgiveness, deliverance, healing, safety, protection, and eternal life, he will use that person as an instrument to help achieve what God wants for everyone.
This person, the book explains, will be called the "intercessor." The intercessor will stand in the gap between men and God and ask the Lord for the blessing of salvation upon families, nations, leaders, and essentially everyone who lives on Earth. Because God intends for nations, cities, and people to live in peace and prosperity, the intercessor should be worthy of the responsibility placed upon him (or her).
"Understanding Intercession" educates the readers on how to successfully respond to the call of God. To become an intercessor, the author says he or she must be willing to be the one person that God needs. He or she must know how to make a difference in a fallen world for the salvation of humanity.
In his book, Mr. Gedzah says there are only a handful of people who were able to stand successfully between man and God. In the Old Testament, Abraham stood in between his cousin Lot and God to intercede for the righteous to be spared (Gen. 18:17-33). Moses stood in between God and Israel to ensure that the Israelites won't incur the wrath of God (Deut. 9:7-29). Daniel interceded in prayer for his people (Daniel 9) to come out of captivity.
In the New Testament, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was the only one to fulfill this role. Through Him, men are reconciled unto God (Heb. 7:25-27). He is our high priest who performed the ultimate sacrifice on the cross with His own blood. He offered Himself through the eternal Spirit (Heb. 9:14-15) in order for us to be saved.
For a person to be an intercessor, he or she must understand what intercession really means. According to the book, the word intercession can be used interchangeably with "prayer" when conversing normally. However, they are technically different from each other. Prayer, Mr. Gedzah says, is a two-way communication wherein you talk to God personally and He talks back to you. Intercession, on the other hand, is approaching God on another person's behalf.
In an intercessory prayer, you stand before the Lord for the sake of another person or persons based on an intimate relationship with Him. This means that all intercessions are a prayer, but not all prayers are an intercession.
So who is qualified to become an intercessor? According to "Understanding Intercession," the spiritual or godly person is qualified to practice intercession. It is because being spiritual or godly gives him the ability to carry the burden of others. A person who wants to be an intercessor must also understand that God's love for all mankind is unconditional. As such, he prays for all people to experience God's love by first receiving the gift of eternal life.
For the author, the intercessor must also possess a number of certain qualities. According to the book, an intercessor is a builder, a lawyer, a watchman, a person led by the Holy Ghost, a person who prays all types of prayers, and a person who knows how to keep and protect his or her friends' secrets. He or she must also be rich in God's words, wisdom, and persistence.
By the end of the book, Mr. Gedzah hopes that readers will know how to intercede and pray all types of prayers with expectation, allowing them to obtain their desired results. He also wants his book to be an instrument in helping people to be positioned well to make a difference in life. When asked what his purpose is for writing "Understanding Intercession," the author says he wants every Christian to understand that the prayer of intercession for all men is an acceptable means to achieve God's plans for us. Therefore, understanding intercession is very necessary, especially for all who desire to make a difference in a fallen world.
